ICELAND CROSS PROCESSED

2017
In 2017, conversing with my father, a photographer, I discovered the cross-processing technique, an intriguing method that involves developing positive film in chemicals intended for negative film, resulting in high-contrast images, altered colors, and a unique texture. As a gift from my father, I received a roll of chrome film, and filled with curiosity, I decided to experiment with this technique, marking my beginning in analog photography. A single roll of chrome film, shared among three brothers, shot over a few days of travel. Of the 36 photos on the roll, 22 are included in this series. I remember when I captured the photo that opens the series "The Frozen Bird"; I stood still with my eyes on the viewfinder for about 10 minutes until the bird circling the glaciers passed through the frame I wanted. When it finally happened, I froze it in the image.
